Auditor

Auditing is a Systematic process of objectively obtaining and evaluating accounts or financial records of a government, business, or other entity based on established criteria.

Simple words Definitions

An auditor is a person authorized to review and record and verify the accuracy of financial records to ensure that companies comply with tax laws.

Qualities of an Auditor
  1. Independent (True & fair Judgement) = Auditor must be independent of everyone or he should independent to take their own decision.
  2. Knowledgeable = Auditor must know and have full knowledge about Auditing standards.
  3. Confidential = The Auditor must be confidential to all. It means he doesn’t disclose any important info to an unknown person.
  4. Honest =Do his work with full honesty.

Types of Auditors
  • Internal Audit (आन्तरिक अंकेक्षण) –उसे कहते हैं जिसमें एक कम्पनी के Accounts Book की जाँच या checking उसी कम्पनी के senior accountant या staff के द्वारा करायी जाती है। आजकल यह काम बड़ी-बड़ी कम्पनियों में किया जा रहा है। यह audit का काम कम्पनी के ऐसे व्यक्ति को दिया जाता है जो ईमानदार हों, जिसके पास experience हो और उस पर trust किया जा सके, और ऐसे person या व्यक्ति को management team appoint करती है। यह कम्पनी की सारी activities को check करता है, उसे verify करता है कि कम्पनी की सारी चीज़ें सही से record की जा रही हैं या नहीं। Internal Audit करने का उद्देश्य कम्पनी के employees की efficiency को बढ़ाना जिससे वो और अच्छे से काम कर सकें और errors और उसमें होने वाले frauds की possibility को कम करना होता है।

  • External Audit (बाह्य अंकेक्षण)-While internal auditors can be useful, especially to large Companies, they are not always unbiased and smaller Companies often Can’nt afford to hire permanent auditors. “External auditors to and Some Sort of document checking and analysis, but Companies only hire their project. These auditors work for firms that specialize in selling auditing services to companies .”
